Cleveland Health Care Center is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all aspects of plant operations, life safety compliance, and facility maintenance within our skilled nursing environment.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the building remains safe, compliant, and fully operational for our residents, staff, and visitors.

What You’ll Own
- Plant Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee maintenance of facility buildings, equipment, and systems
- Lead and execute preventive maintenance programs
- Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Respond to work orders, repairs, and emergency issues
- Life Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- CMS regulations
- Life Safety Code (NFPA 101)
- OSHA standards
- State and local health regulations
- Conduct routine safety rounds and inspections
- Maintain documentation for surveys, audits, and inspections
- Participate in state survey process and corrective actions
- Safety & Emergency Preparedness
- Maintain fire systems, alarms, generators, and emergency equipment
- Conduct and document fire drills and emergency preparedness exercises
- Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials
Leadership & Team Oversight
- Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate with vendors/contractors
- Assign and prioritize daily work orders
- Train staff on safety procedures and equipment use
- Monitor department performance and productivity
- Preventive Maintenance & Documentation
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules and tracking systems
Maintain logs for:
- Generator testing
- Fire systems
- Water temperature monitoring
- Emergency lighting
- Grounds & Facility Management
- Oversee upkeep of grounds, parking areas, walkways, and lighting
- Coordinate pest control and environmental services vendors
- Budget & Inventory
- Manage department budget, supplies, and equipment
- Monitor vendor contracts and service agreements
What We’re Looking For (Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5+ years of maintenance experience (healthcare or SNF strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to respond to on-call facility emergencies
Preferred
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or healthcare setting
- Supervisory or leadership experience
- Knowledge of Life Safety Code and regulatory compliance
- CHFM or related certification

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
