The Springs Living, our mission is to change the way people think, feel, and experience senior living. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Maintenance Assistant to join our community team and help create a safe, welcoming environment for our residents and staff.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Assistant supports the Plant Operations Manager in maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the community. This role assists with interior and exterior maintenance, grounds upkeep, repairs, and facility support. Candidates may also assist with resident transportation as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance of the building exterior, landscaping, walkways, driveways, and parking areas
- Support upkeep and repairs throughout resident apartments, common areas, offices, kitchens, and storage spaces
- Ensure maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies are stored safely and appropriately
- Communicate facility concerns and maintenance issues to leadership promptly
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and daily work orders
- Drive community vehicles and transport residents as needed while maintaining safety standards
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with residents, families, and team members
- Follow all safety procedures and community policies
- Attend required trainings and continuing education classes
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous construction, facilities, or apartment maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required
- CDL preferred or ability to obtain if required
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Basic computer skills including email and record keeping
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, push, pull, and reach throughout the workday
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to walk the campus for extended periods

Schedule
- 40 hours a week
- Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm
