Apprentice Technician – Entry Level (Manufacturing Facility)
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Apprentice Technician supports the maintenance team by learning and performing basic equipment repairs, routine servicing, and daily operational tasks in a manufacturing environment. Working alongside experienced technicians, this entry‑level role focuses on developing mechanical skills, monitoring equipment performance, maintaining tools and documentation, and following all safety and HESS procedures. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn while working on an active production floor.
Primary Responsibilities
- Shadow experienced technicians to learn maintenance procedures and safety protocols
- Assist with basic repairs and routine servicing of manufacturing equipment
- Help monitor machinery performance and report irregularities
- Participate in equipment installations and setup
- Maintain tools, workspaces, and documentation with attention to detail
- Follow all safety and HESS policies
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong desire to learn technical skills in a hands-on environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- High school diploma or GED required
- Enrollment in or completion of a technical training program is a plus
- Good physical stamina and willingness to work in industrial conditions
Work Environment
- Active manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- Requires standing, lifting, and climbing as part of daily tasks
