HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance & Reliability Manager in the Specialty Chemicals Manufacturing industry in Geneseo, NY!


Salary: Up to $155,000 annually + bonus

Shift: 1st Shift (Days), 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Location: Geneseo, NY (Relocation assistance available)


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all plant maintenance and reliability activities while supervising a team of approximately 10 maintenance professionals.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance resources to maximize equipment uptime, minimize downtime, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Technical teams to prioritize maintenance activities that support production, quality, safety, and budget objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to increase equipment reliability and reduce operating costs.
  • Manage maintenance capital projects from planning through execution, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and established project management processes.
  • Monitor maintenance performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), identify improvement opportunities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee contractor activities, ensuring all work is performed safely and in accordance with plant policies and expectations.
  • Manage departmental budgets, payroll administration, equipment reliability programs, and support Management of Change (MOC), process safety, and environmental compliance initiatives.
  • 8–10+ years of progressive maintenance and reliability experience within chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, or other high-hazard industrial environments.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience supervising maintenance personnel.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or Operational Excellence experience preferred.
  • Mechanical Integrity Inspector certification is highly desirable.
