Mainframe Engineer

Role Description

Looking for a highly motivated Mainframe Senior Software Engineer to join the team. This candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining critical components in the Transmissions space. The candidate will engage collaboratively with business and systems teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

• 5+ years of mainframe software development experience using Cobol, DB2, JCL, VSAM

• Knowledge of SQL, File-aid, Eztrieve and SPUFI is preferred
• Experience in Agile development methodology and Jira
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner
• Ability to quickly learn, adapt and strive to meet the needs of a fast paced, changing environment
• Ability to navigate organizationally to accomplish tasks
• Ability to work on multiple efforts simultaneously
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Quick learner and willing to adapt and learn new technologies
