Excelraise, LLC is seeking a Mainframe Developer / Senior COBOL Developer for our client. This is a Remote opportunity.
Skills
- 10+ years of experience developing and maintaining mainframe-based Tax Management Systems using COBOL and Install/1 system management.
- Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, EASYTRIEVE, MVS JCL, CICS, SQL, and DB2 in a mainframe environment.
- Experience in Technical and Functional Requirements Documentation.
- Extensive knowledge of Software Quality Assurance (SQA), testing methodologies, and full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong experience with mainframe databases including VSAM, DB2, and IMS.
- Proficient in working within TSO/ISPF, z/OS, MVS, IMS, and Windows environments.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving mainframe application issues.
- Experience in batch processing, job scheduling, and performance tuning in mainframe systems.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
