Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe Developer for a Contract with a client in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and support complex mainframe applications while driving system enhancements, performance optimization, and end-to-end software delivery.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Mainframe Developer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, test, and maintain complex mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM technologies.
Analyze business requirements and create detailed technical designs, program specifications, and development estimates.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues through effective debugging, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
Support release management, code migrations, and implementation activities while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
Provide technical guidance to team members and stakeholders, ensuring scalable solutions and continuous improvement of existing applications.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in Mainframe Application Development, including COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and mainframe development tools such as Endevor, FileManager, CA7, IDZ, GitLab, and TSO.
Proven expertise in application design, debugging, performance.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
