Position Purpose: Under general supervision, opens and reviews incoming mailed documents, enters data into computer to update client/consumer accounts.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
- Receives incoming mailed source documents received via postal and /or electronic delivery; has limited knowledge of the legal process.
- Enters data regarding court documents, starting at basic entry and move to complex level of court documents following standard procedures with limited system knowledge.
- Complies with requests to file or route source documents after entry to internal departments
- Track and log incoming mail, including, but not limited to, scanning FedEx bar codes, checks received, and piece count.
- Performs other clerical duties, which may include photocopying, filing, collating, back-up receptionist, mail messenger as assigned.
- Complete all required training applicable to this position
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 6 months of administrative, customer service, or retail work experience
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute for accurate data entry skills
- Experience with basic computer operation and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of office practices and following procedures working in a team environment
- Must be able to pass a detailed background check and drug screen
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation is $19.48-$23.47/hour
