Mail & Copy Operations Specialist Eden Prairie, MN (onsite) 3+Month Contract Provides operational support in high-volume copying, document imaging, and mail services. Operates mail and shipping systems, prepares documents, and supports daily office and facility functions. Role requires multitasking, quick learning, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with significant physical activity. Responsibilities Operate high-volume copiers, scanners, and document imaging systems; perform binding and finishing Process, sort, and distribute up to 4000 pieces of mail daily; prep mail for scanning Apply postage using Pitney Bowes machine; create shipping labels (Client, FedEx, USPS) Handle incoming/outgoing mail, faxing, shipping, and receiving of materials and supplies Use document management systems, MS Office, and email to open, save, send, and retrieve files Maintain copier functionality; perform daily quality checks, clear jams, and escalate issues Track meter readings, service logs, billing logs, and supply inventory Deliver completed jobs within and between buildings as required Respond to customer inquiries, service calls, and job requests Perform filing, archiving, and document purging as needed Support meeting room setup, light maintenance, and general housekeeping tasks Use bindery and finishing equipment (paper cutter, shrink-wrap, stapler, etc.) Requirements High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years of related experience preferred Basic PC skills including MS Office and email; ability to learn shipping and imaging software Strong organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision Comfortable standing for extended periods and walking up to 5 miles daily Ability to lift 50–55 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, and moving equipment Familiarity with office machines and technical equipment preferred Willingness to work occasional overtime, including nights, weekends, and off-hour emergencies Good mathematical and filing skills Metasys Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
