Summary

Under the direction of the Magnet Program Director, for the Parkview Regional Medical Center and Affiliates, coordinates and assists with the implementation of programs and initiatives that support compliance with the ANCC Magnet program. Supports the initiative to attain and maintain the American Nurses Associations model for nursing excellence. Promotes engagement of nurses at all levels, utilizing the shared decision making structure, in focusing on data metrics and connection to meaningful outcomes.

Provides education to clinicians related to nursing excellence. Aligns work with the mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of the organization. Participates in strategic planning for nursing. Focuses on quality, cost effective outcomes for nursing, patients, and the organization.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. MSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Must have a valid Indiana RN license. Professional nursing certification required within one year of assuming the position.

Experience

Must have a minimum of five years experience in direct patient care in a hospital setting. Experience in quality data analytics with support of nursing excellence and Magnet initiatives is desirable.

Other Qualifications

Demonstrates effective leadership skills. Ability to facilitate teams and displays strong problem solving, strategic thinking, initiative, and creativity. Must be computer literate, including application of Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel.

Demonstrates high level written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Must have a strong understanding of educational tools and adult learning principles.

Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
