Machinist-Set Up Operator

Machinist:

This is a 2nd shift opening. Hours are 4:00pm-1:30am with a 9/80 schedule. There is a $3.00/hr shift differential

1. Interpret Part Drawings.
2. 1. Basic understanding of Geometric Tolerancing
   2. Using part drawing, must be able to produce from raw stock to finished product.
3. Set up and operate CNC Lathes & Mills
4. 1. Monitor Production quantities
   2. Monitor tool wear
   3. Adjust Offsets to stay within part drawing tolerance
   4. Able to follow standard work instructions
   5. Able to operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously (We use Okuma and Doosan machines)
5. Inspection and Gauging
6. 1. Checking part to print dimensions using micrometers, dial calipers, etc.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be eligible to possess explosive by passing a drug screen, background check and prove you are a US person under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Chemring Energetic Devices.
2. 1 – 2 years’ Experience
3. Self-starter
4. Capable of holding close tolerances on production runs
5. Able to follow directions
