Machinist II Mukilteo, WA (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=11600+49th+Place+West+Mukilteo+WA+USA+98275) Description OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for a Machinist II who will be responsible for operating, setting up, and troubleshooting a variety of machining equipment, including CNC and manual machines, to produce high-precision parts. This mid-level role requires a strong understanding of machining principles, blueprint reading, and quality control procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in machining operations, be proficient with measuring tools, and demonstrate problem-solving abilities to optimize production efficiency. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + Independently set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate precision components + Read and analyze blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine job specifications, tolerances, and tooling requirements + Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards + Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety + Diagnose machine issues, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with maintenance teams for complex repairs + Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, ensuring a clean and organized work environment. + Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other machinists to optimize production and troubleshoot machining challenges + Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead + Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations + Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets Requirements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + 3+ years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment preferred + Experience in manual machining + 3+ years working in an Aerospace & Defense manufacturing environment + Proficiency in operating CNC and manual machining equipment + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings + Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control techniques + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions + Basic mathematical skills, including understanding measurements and tolerances + Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment EDUCATION + High School Diploma LOCATION + Onsite SCHEDULE + M-F TOTAL COMPENSATION INCLUDES + Health/dental/vision coverage + Employer-paid and supplemental life insurance + Short- and long-term disability insurance + Generous paid time off and holiday pay + Monthly remote work stipend (for remote employees who qualify) + 401(k) investment plan, with an employer match of up to 4% + Education support program + Safety eyeglasses/shoe reimbursement + Referral bonuses + Bonus plan for all full-time employees PHYSICAL DEMANDS + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear.
