This part-time position will teach 'Introduction to Machining Measurement Materials and Safety and 'CNC Level 1 Milling at our Kilmarnock site.The successful candidate will teach students the fundamental knowledge of standard steel classifications and numbering systems. In addition students will learn how to read precision measuring devices shop and safety procedures and inspection techniques. Students will be prepared to take the classic credential Measurement Materials and Safety exam. The instructor will introduce to students basic machine shop practices and instruct them on the set-up and operations of the computer numerical controlled CNC mill covering tool set-up and adjustments of work and tool sets. Fundamental principles and applications of setup and operations of a CNC Mill will be taught. Students will be able to perform common inspection processes and generate a production run of parts to the given print tolerance. Students will be prepared to take the Level 1 CNC Mill Programming Setup & Operations exam. Teaching assignments and schedules may include evening on-campus assignments and daytime weekend classes.
