Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on knitting machines.
Complete style changes and machine set ups according to specification sheets.
Repair/replace machine parts as required.
Perform any quality related measurements or checks as required.
Record machine down time with Supervisor.
Assist Knitters to keep machines running.
Ensure machines are producing first quality fabric.
Maintain yarn tensions utilizing various feeders to ensure consistent fabric appearance.
Understand yarn counts and types.
Provide reports on spare parts, broken items, and any issues concerning production.
Record defect repairs on knitting production ticket.
Follow all safety procedures/policies and advise management of any unsafe conditions.
Keep work area neat and clean.
Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED.
At least two years of experience in a mechanical maintenance position.
Familiarity with knitting machines is preferred.
