CSI Aerospace, Inc., a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation specializing in the repair of air data probes and aircraft accessories is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor. This role as the Machine Shop Supervisor will have a proven track record as a highly skilled professional machinist. They will be responsible for supervising Team Members, establishing and coordinating the production schedules in a machining environment and ensuring the flow of materials, parts and assemblies within the department. In depth knowledge and understanding complex blueprints and schematics, set up, programing and operation of CNC machines, and conformance to specifications is required.
The ideal candidates will have a deep knowledge of CNC machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance. Candidate should have a strong understanding of quality control analysis.
Job Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Perform complex machining operations on a variety of materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed drawing
- Monitors and adjusts schedule to respond to internal production requirements
- Troubleshoot parts and machine problems
- Coordinate with other departments to achieve company needs, work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other machinists to ensure parts meet design intent.
- Manage daily activities of machine shop Team Members and related equipment.
- Responsible for all of CSI’s tooling design and maintenance which includes New Product Development and Production tooling.
- Responsible for the overall talent management of the machine shop department including interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Responsible for enforcing company policies of conduct and safety and initiates disciplinary action when necessary
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing environment
- Performs other related duties as required.

- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Solidworks & Esprit programming software
- Reasoning Abilities: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize as necessary.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience:
- Five (5) years related experience, Hands-on experience through apprenticeships or on-the-job training is essential while proficient in CNC technology and metalworking. Post-secondary certificates or associate degrees in machining or manufacturing are preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
