Openwork is hiring an experienced Machine Operator (Shop Worker) for a leading manufacturing company in Northeast Houston. What You'll Do:
Operate and monitor heavy industrial production equipment.
Set up machines according to production specifications.
Operate a 15-foot press and assist with a 500-ton production machine.
Read work orders, blueprints, and production instructions.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate production records.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
Minimum of 3 years of industrial machine operating experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, and move materials throughout the shift.
Comfortable working around industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
