• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)
• Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 2nd shift, 2:00 PM 10:30 PM; occasional weekend work as needed; overtime expected based on production demand
• Travel Requirements: Not required

Job Summary

This entry-level manufacturing operator role supports manufacturing production by performing manual and automated processing tasks to maintain production output and quality standards. The position is part of a team of approximately 11 operators per shift and reports to the Production Supervisor, collaborating with Manufacturing Leads, Quality, and Materials teams. Primary colleagues include production operators, lab technicians, manufacturing leads, and material handlers.

Key Responsibilities

• Weighs, measures, and verifies raw materials and parts.
• Perform manual manufacturing tasks.
• Assists in operating basic to fully automated filling equipment.
• Uses basic laboratory equipment: scales, balances, pipettes, luminometers, etc.
• Follow and foster a safe work environment.
• Maintain accurate and complete training record.
• Understand and execute written procedures, manufacturing records, and logs.
• Housekeeping and cleaning of manufacturing laboratory/area.
• Assists with material handling, stocking of lab, and assigned daily lab responsibilities.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Required Experience

• 0 2 years of relevant manufacturing, production, or lab environment experience
• Ability to work onsite on 2nd shift (2:00 PM 10:30 PM)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a manufacturing/lab environment

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching during production tasks
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and moderate noise
• Potential exposure to chemicals and blood in a laboratory manufacturing environment
• Sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Lifting/moving and carrying products weighing up to 40 pounds
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and/or moderate noise levels
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials
• Safety Shoes with Impact and Compression Protection must be worn
• Exposure to blood
• Sedentary work involves sitting the majority of time
• Gloves and other PPE as required in the lab/manufacturing environment
• Manufacturing/laboratory production attire required
• Facility badge required

Important Notes

• Candidates with a CNC machining-only background and no production or lab manufacturing experience will not be considered.
• Candidates must be available to work the required 2nd shift schedule (2:00 PM 10:30 PM).
• Interview process: 1 round, video or onsite format.
