Title: Machine Operator – Pierce Machine
Location: Batavia, NY
Job type: Temp to hire
Shift: 2nd Shift, 2pm – 10:30pm

Position Summary
Operates and maintains multiple machines according to all job and safety procedures

Essential Functions
  • Reads, understands, and commits to operating the machines and their functions according to procedures, such as running duds and/or use of gauges
  • Obtains work orders from Production Scheduling Board
  • Reads, understands and commits to following all safety procedures when operating the machines
  • Enters hourly information into production tracking system (L2L), such as downtime, production output, rejects, etc.
  • Keeps machines running with minimal down-time
  • Inspects parts through each process to ensure good quality
  • Enters work order information into ERP system (SAP)
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Trains machine operators as needed

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic math skills, basic computer skills and excellent attention to detail

Education / Experience
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 1 years’ light manufacturing experience preferred
