Job Title: Operator I Molding Department (2nd Shift)

Location: Plymouth, MN
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:15 PM 1:45 AM (4x10 Schedule)
Duration: 12 Months

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Operator I to join the Molding Department in a medical device manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will perform assembly, inspection, testing, and repair of high-quality medical devices while following standard operating procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble, inspect, repair, and test medical device components.
  • Operate within a manufacturing cell following standardized work instructions.
  • Perform work using microscopes and small hand tools.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Follow GMP, QMS, EMS, and safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Communicate production issues and solutions with supervisors and team members.
  • Ensure product traceability and compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Experience assembling small components using standard hand tools.
  • Experience working with microscopes preferred.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom/medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic data collection systems.
  • Team-oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule with overtime as needed.
  • Interest in a long-term manufacturing career.
Preferred Skills
  • Medical device manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience following GMP or regulated manufacturing procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
