Overview


As a Folding Operator, you will support Brightstar Lottery's printing and finishing operations by running the unwind system that feeds raw ticket stock into production lines. You will help ensure proper tension, material alignment, and continuous flow while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to secure-handling practices. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical awareness, and the ability to support a high-volume production environment. This role will be located onsite in Lakeland, Florida.


What You'll Do


+ Operate unwind machinery to feed ticket stock into production lines

+ Monitor material flow, tension, alignment, and roll condition during runs

+ Verify roll labels, material types, and measurements before use

+ Perform in-process checks and complete roll-change documentation

+ Adjust equipment settings and identify issues affecting material feed

+ Support press and finishing operators during changeovers

+ Follow all secure-print handling procedures and safety protocols

+ Perform other duties assigned


What You'll Bring


+ High school diploma or GED

+ Experience operating machinery, handling materials, or working with industrial equipment

+ Knowledge of material specifications and ability to complete accurate documentation

+ Mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely monitor moving materials

+ Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required


What Will Make You Stand Out


+ Experience working with unwinders or tension-control systems

+ Background in printing, finishing, or continuous-feed manufacturing environments

+ Skill in troubleshooting alignment, tension, or material defects


Physical Requirements


+ Stand or walk for extended 12-hour production shifts

+ Lift 20–40 pounds regularly and assist with heavier loads using team lifts or equipment

+ Perform bending, reaching, twisting, and ongoing material handling

+ Use hand tools and complete repetitive tasks throughout the shift

+ Work in environments with noise, heat, inks, paper dust, and moving machinery

+ Visually inspect printed or packaged materials with accuracy

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $21.00 per hour. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.


Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
