Position Overview
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining production equipment to manufacture parts according to blueprint specifications and work instructions. This Machine Operator role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to maintain quality standards throughout production. The ideal Machine Operator is dependable, safety-focused, and experienced in a manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous machine operating experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Ability to perform measurements and inspections accurately
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work safely in a production environment
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Receive instructions, prints, and material requirements for production jobs
Plan work procedures and stage materials in designated work areas
Perform routine maintenance and machine setup as needed
Program and operate machinery according to specifications
Conduct first-piece and periodic inspections to ensure tolerances are met
Make machine adjustments to maintain part accuracy and quality
Run production pieces and complete multiple machine operations as required
Package, label, and tag finished materials properly
Complete all required paperwork and production documentation
Move and stage materials for the next operation or destination
Follow all company safety procedures and policies
Work Environment
Manufacturing and production environment
Exposure to machinery, noise, and industrial materials
Physically active role requiring standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion
PPE required while working in production areas
