SUMMARY: Individuals in the position are responsible for assembling industrial machinery, equipment, and subassemblies according to blueprints, diagrams, and written or verbal instructions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals to understand the assembly process.
- Assemble machines, equipment, and subassemblies according to blueprints and specifications.
- Meet daily production goals and deadlines.
- Align and calibrate machinery and components for efficient and safe operation.
- Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble and fit parts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Perform required quality checks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Ability to pass a pre-employment math and measurement test.
- Proficiency with measuring equipment and ability to read mechanical drawings with minimal assistance, interpret dimensional tolerances, and measure accurately to 1/16”.
- Knowledge of power transmission components and best practices for assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly diagrams.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet production deadlines and work overtime as required.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years'experience in mechanical equipment assembly preferred.
