If this sounds interesting, we’d like to meet you.  Job Summary What You'll Do: Interpret technical drawings to understand required bends, angles, and tolerances for each metal part.  Activate the machine to bend metal sheets according to the programmed settings, monitoring the process for accuracy.  Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards.  Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the bending process, such as machine malfunctions or material defects.  Perform routine cleaning and lubrication of the press brake, checking for wear and tear on tooling.  Adhere to all safety procedures related to operating heavy machinery, including wearing required personal protective equipment. What You'll Bring: Completion of a high school degree or equivalent is preferred. Successful completion of company provided training may be required. Requires 1-2 years of Brake Operator experience. Understanding of the mechanics of the press brake and how to adjust settings for different bending operations.  Ability to ensure precise measurements and accurate bending to meet quality standards. Overview:We are seeking an experienced Machine Brake Operator to join a manufacturing team on 3rd shift. This role is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will ensure precision forming of parts, maintain quality standards, and support efficient production in a fast-paced industrial environment. Job Duties: Interpret technical drawings to determine bend angles, dimensions, and tolerances Set up and operate press brake machines to form metal sheets and components Monitor machine operation to ensure accuracy and consistency during production runs Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to verify compliance with specifications Identify and troubleshoot issues such as machine errors, tooling problems, or material defects Perform routine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and basic tooling inspection Ensure proper machine setup and adjustment for different bending operations Maintain accurate production and quality records as required Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred 1–2 years of press brake or metal fabrication experience required Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications Strong understanding of press brake operation and metal forming processes Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Ability to troubleshoot basic machine or production issues Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy materials as needed Willingness to work 3rd shift and adapt to production demands Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
