General Responsibilities

. Train and lead warehouse activities, including but not limited to staging, shipping, and receiving associated with finished goods, raw materials, and packaging supplies.
. Activities affiliated with loading and unloading trucks for the site.
. Organize and schedule work assignments on time to fit production schedules and related priorities. This includes day shift, extended shifts, and weekend shift operations as needed.
. Monitor raw materials and packaging supplies affiliated with the manufacture of finished goods for continuous operation of the site.
. Ensure proper traceability of all bulk and packaged raw materials and finished goods.
. Investigate processes and/or movements and correct non-conformances.
. Ensure proper transactions related to goods movement throughout the site.
Comply with all GMP+, Responsible Care, OSHA VPP, state, and federal requirements.
. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for the safe production and handling of animal feed.
. Adhere to the Novus Management System (NMS), Novus Integrity System (NIS), and all policies and procedures related to position assignments.
. Coach individuals and teams to ensure an integrated and collaborative effort to competently service customers.
. Foster process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
. Provides frequent, accurate, specific, and timely feedback with Management and employees at all sites.
. Perform inspections related to the site, such as safety equipment, housekeeping, and fire safety.

Key Knowledge/Experience/Requirements

. Bachelor's degree or comparable training in Supply Chain or related field or 5+ years of warehouse experience in a supervisory role.
. Basic knowledge of understanding of ISO/HACCP/GMP+
. Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues with unloading equipment.

Skills/Requirements

. Must have at least 5 years of forklift operation.
. Must have supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach with arms or hands, climb multiple flights of stairs, crawl, crouch, kneel, write & type.
Ability to lift and/or move items up to 55lbs frequently.
Ability to drive, climb on and off a forklift as required.
Ability to see, speak, hear, and smell. Must have depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision.

Other Essential Requirements

  • Must be able to read/write in English.*Availability during the day shift, with expected support during night shifts as needed.
  • Willingness to conduct 1:1 meetings with employees to provide guidance and support.
  • Ability to make necessary phone calls to ensure effective communication across shifts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to additional software systems as needed.
  • Assists employees with basic technology‑related questions or challenges.

Work Environment:
This role operates in a manufacturing facility, including indoor/outdoor work environments year-round. This role must be able to use personal protective equipment as required by OSHA standards. The role may work with or around machinery, powered industrial vehicles, electricity, compressed gas cylinders, high pressures, hot & cold temperatures working conditions, heights, moving mechanical parts, confined spaces, some wet/slippery surfaces, vibrations, and elevated noise levels. This role is frequently required to interact with other employees as well as external clients, and consultants, as well as work alone. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Must be able to interface with digital control systems.

Cross-Functional Relationships

. Work closely and communicate with the Warehouse Supervisor-LMH Warehouse to ensure customer service levels are met.
. Maintain equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, dock safety equipment, lighting, etc., by direct contact with suppliers or working alongside maintenance.
