Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee all nursing and clinical services for the practice, combining hands-on patient care with leadership and operational responsibility. You will provide direct nursing care while coordinating clinic operations, managing patient flow, and supervising nursing and supplemental staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.
You will work closely with faculty, residents, patients, and multidisciplinary teams to support efficient clinic operations and maximize the patient experience. Responsibilities include:
• Assigning and coordinating staff duties in accordance with established protocols, policies, and procedures. • Administrative oversight, including supervising nursing staff, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, and adjusting daily staffing to meet operational needs. • Leading performance evaluations, maintaining annual staff competencies, and providing training and onboarding for new and existing team members. • Overseeing the Quality Assurance process, reviewing staff timesheets for accuracy, and ensuring the ongoing maintenance and readiness of the practice.

Required:
• Possess an active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification. • Possession of an active BLS Card from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. • 3 years LVN experience required. • Ability to take vital signs, administer medications, and obtain drug refills as needed. • Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician. • Knowledge of symptomatology of common and/or life-threatening medical problems. • Interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers. • Performs phlebotomy, CPR, injections, and other skills within the scope of practice. • Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, including Windows computer function, computer navigation, and ability to use computerized patient care systems. • Knowledge of all safety requirements when handling biohazardous specimens or contaminated instruments. • Verbal skills to effectively convey sensitive information in a courteous manner, in person or on the telephone. • Ability to lead a team with effective communication, collaboration, and maintaining high-quality standards. • Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members, faculty, patients, nursing staff, and others. • Team building and leadership skills, preferably with prior supervisory experience.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures. • Supervisory experience.
