Overview
We are seeking a committed LVN to provide exceptional care at a cozy 5-bed facility serving individuals with IDD. Your responsibilities will include assisting with all aspects of daily living, some of which involve specialized care such as G-tube feedings. Collaborate closely with a team consisting of an LVN and DSPs to ensure residents' needs are met with dignity and respect. Required Skills
- Valid California LVN license
- Ability to assist with all aspects of personal care, including feeding, hygiene, and mobility
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Basic knowledge of G-tube care preferred
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing care needs
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience working with individuals with IDD or in a residential care setting
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Familiarity with non-verbal communication techniques
Preferred Education and Experience
- LVN license in California
- Prior experience in IDD or developmental disability care preferred but not required
- Experience working in small group or home-like settings
Other Requirements
- Willingness to work flexible PRN hours as needed
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
- Willingness to help with all aspects of resident care, including assisting with feeding and personal hygiene
- No open-toe shoes or clothing with holes; professional appearance required
- Must adhere to facility dress code and conduct standards
