Schedule

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a correctional healthcare team in Wisconsin. This position offers the opportunity to provide essential nursing care to an underserved patient population while working in a structured, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct nursing care to incarcerated patients in accordance with established nursing standards and facility policies.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed providers.

  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.

  • Perform intake screenings, health assessments, and ongoing patient evaluations.

  • Assist with chronic disease management and routine healthcare services.

  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and urgent patient needs.

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.

  • Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, mental health professionals, and security staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and security protocols at all times.

  • Provide patient education and support to promote health and wellness.

Qualifications

Required

  • Current, active, and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.

  • Minimum 1 year of correctional nursing experience.
