Your Specific Responsibilities: This position serves as a Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER) responsible for assisting with the development of the service delivery strategies for veterans and educating partner staff with current employment initiatives and programs for veterans. This position confers with the supervisor to assist in identifying improvement processes and develop solutions for the Job for Veterans State Grant (JVSG) program. Performs duties outlined in Title 38 of the United States Code (U.S.C.), 4104(b)(1)(2), as amended by Public Law 100-323. The incumbent will assure that the local office is in compliance with Federal Regulations, standards of performance and contractual provisions of the grant agreement mandating special services for Veterans.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Qualifications: As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.
Minimum: Appointment to this position must be made in the order of preference provided by Public Law 100-323, as follows:

The incumbent must possess or obtain certification as a Workforce Professional Tier 1 within one year of employment in the position.
