Job Summary: This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
Responsibilities:
• Generating CAD models for cryogenic fluid system hardware • Leading design for manufacturability efforts for fluid component assemblies • Performing configuration and packaging optimizations • Performing structural analysis on fluid system hardware
Qualifications:
• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field • 8+ years of experience designing tubes and fluid components, creating 3D models and drawings in CREO • Professional experience specifying fluid fittings and mounts • Experience performing complex stack-ups, structural hand calculations, and basic analysis with tools such as ANSYS • Expertise in ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerance • Desired: Experience with ProEngineer/Creo, Windchill, and ProPiping • Professional experience performing detailed static and dynamic structural analysis of fluid components • Professional experience with cryogenic systems
Compensation Range: CA applicants is $117,498.00-$164,497.20; CO applicants is $107,707.00-$150,789.45; WA applicants is $117,498.00-$164,497.20. Other site ranges may differ.
