Assignment Details
• Location: Paducah, Kentucky
• Practice Setting: Inpatient/Hospital-Based
• Coverage: Ongoing
• Coverage Needed: 6–7 shifts per month with potential for additional shifts
• 1–3 providers needed
Compensation: 24 Hour On Call - $1630 per 24 hours, Call Back - $340/hr.
Schedule
• 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 AM)
• In-house and beeper/phone call coverage
• EMTALA call coverage
• Midwives provide daily call coverage and deliver their own patients
Clinical Details
• Adult patient population
• 100% inpatient
• Average Patient Volume: 1–6 patients per day
• EMR: Epic
• Onsite laboratory and ultrasound
• Labor & Delivery hospital setting
• Nursery Level II
• Approximately 700–800 deliveries annually
• Approximately 140–190 Labor & Delivery triage visits per month
• Low volume of Cesarean section patients
Required Procedures
• Routine vaginal deliveries
• Operative vaginal deliveries (low forceps)
• Clinical decision-making for Cesarean sections
• Management of complicated deliveries, including breech, multiple gestation, and placental abruption
• VBAC management
• Repair of 3rd- and 4th-degree lacerations
Requirements
• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology (American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology)
• Active Kentucky medical license or active IMLC
• BLS certification
• DEA required
Credentialing
• Approximately 90 days
• Expedited credentialing available based on need
