Amergis Staffing is seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide quality care in a school clinic setting. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule as well as flexible PRN shifts, giving you the perfect balance of stability and flexibility







Requirement : At least 1 year pediatric experience





Location: Hillsborough County Public Schools





Schedule: Monday – Friday


Hours: PRN or Full Time Openings (37.5 hrs/week)







Shift length: 8 hours (30 minute break)





Length of Contract: Full School Year and opportunity to extend next school year

About the role







The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.







Responsibilities:





+ Provide routine and emergency health care to students during school hours



+ Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate medication logs



+ Perform basic health assessments and monitor chronic conditions



+ Respond promptly to injuries and illnesses, following school health protocols



+ Document all health-related visits and maintain confidential student records



+ Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs



+ Support health education initiatives and promote wellness within the school community



+ Ensure compliance with state and district health regulations









Requirements:









+ Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience



+ Active LPN license in Florida







+ Current BLS Certification



+ Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.



+ Minimum one year prior Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) experience preferred



+ Strong communication and organizational skills
