    Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Hagerstown, MD

    Job Summary
    The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing holistic, patient-centered nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated individuals. Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and in collaboration with medical and behavioral health staff, the LPN supports a wide range of physical and mental health needs in a correctional healthcare setting.
    This role requires the ability to work effectively in a secure environment, maintain professional boundaries, and deliver compassionate care while ensuring compliance with all clinical and facility protocols.

    Shifts Available: Days and Nights

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care including medication administration, treatments, and routine assessments
    • Monitor patient health status and report changes to RN or medical staff
    • Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans
    • Respond to medical emergencies and urgent care needs
    • Support behavioral health interventions in collaboration with clinical staff
    • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with policies
    • Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and correctional facility procedures
    • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care

    Qualifications
    • Active and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Maryland
    • Current CPR certification
    • Current tuberculosis (TB) screening/documentation
    • Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain required security clearance

    Experience
    • Minimum one (1) year of LPN experience preferred
    • Experience in correctional healthcare, hospital, outpatient clinic, or long-term care setting preferred
    • Experience working with behavioral health populations is a plus

    Work Environment
    • Secure correctional facility setting
    • Fast-paced clinical environment requiring adaptability and sound judgment
    • Interaction with diverse patient populations with complex medical and behavioral health needs
