SUMMARY This position is filled by a licensed practical nurse who, as a result of educational and clinical experience, possesses the advanced knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide expert nursing care and ensures quality focused and cost-effective care delivery outcomes. Responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care and promoting a team effort among co-workers. Responsible and accountable to know own and energize the vision mission values and standards of the hospital.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current Arkansas or Compact State Practical Nurse license in good standing.
• Experience: Willing to train recent LPN graduate. Previous clinic experience desired.
• Certifications: BLS required.
• Other: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following:

• Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to solve problems and make decisions.
• Ability to stand and walk, bend, squat, and twist up to or exceeding 8-10 hours during shifts.
• Occasionally requires lifting of 50 pounds or more of equipment.
• Able to push in excess of 150 pound wheelchair with patient.
• Occasionally lifts patients with assist 125 pounds or more.
• Spends eight hours or more in front of computer monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse.
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations of CPR and obtaining equipment.
• Must be able to handle highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.

Work Environment Clinic setting

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a position in a clinical setting which is open 8-12 hours a day up to 365 days a year. Holidays and work during inclement weather may be required.
