Job Description:We are seeking experienced Low Voltage Technician for a 4-week project at a large packing and distribution facility. Technicians will be responsible for installing a new commercial surveillance camera system, including running, terminating, labeling, and testing CAT6 cabling, as well as mounting and commissioning IP cameras throughout the facility.
Candidates must have previous experience installing commercial security camera systems and be comfortable working at heights using scissor lifts. This is a fast-paced project requiring attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Pull, route, and secure CAT6 cable throughout the facility.
- Terminate CAT6 cabling to industry standards.
- Label and test all cable runs using appropriate testing equipment.
- Install, mount, and position IP security cameras.
- Assist with camera alignment, troubleshooting, and system verification.
- Read and follow project drawings, floor plans, and cable schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all site safety requirements and PPE guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial low-voltage installation experience.
- Proven experience installing security camera systems in commercial or industrial environments.
- Experience pulling, terminating, labeling, and testing CAT6 cable.
- Ability to operate and work safely from a scissor lift.
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and low-voltage drawings.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an active warehouse/industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scissor lift certification.
- Experience with IP-based CCTV systems.
- Experience working in distribution centers, warehouses, or manufacturing facilities.
- OSHA 10 certification.
