The Beautiful Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Protection
Monitor premises, make frequent property walks, public areas resence to detect suspicious behavior or potential security risks.
- Identify and prevent theft, fraud, and policy violations.
- Conduct routine inspections of doors, windows, storage areas, and alarm systems.
Incident Response & Reporting
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or disturbances.
- Detain and interview suspected individuals in accordance with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Document incidents accurately with clear, detailed written reports.
- Assist law enforcement when required.
Investigation
- Perform internal investigations related to theft, safety violations, or misconduct.
- Gather evidence, complete incident summaries, and maintain accurate documentation.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and loss prevention standards.
- Support safety programs including fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and accident response.
- Participate in regular audits and compliance checks.
Customer Service & Team Support
- Provide a visible and approachable security presence to enhance employee and guest safety.
- Assist employees with security concerns and support operations teams with risk reduction.
- Partner with management to recommend process improvements that reduce shrink and enhance safety.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in loss prevention, security, or related field preferred.
- Strong observational, computer, and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of security systems
- Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
Preferred
- Certification in security or loss prevention (e.g., LPQ, LPC) is a plus.
- Knowledge of investigative procedures.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or asset protection.
