JOB TITLE: Lonsdale/West Area JustLead Ministry Director REPORTS TO: Director of Area Ministries - Lonsdale/West STATUS: Full-time, exempt
JOB SUMMARY: The Area JustLead Ministry Director is responsible for overseeing the implementation of JustLead in the Area, including identifying new collaborators needed, while directly implementing JustLead at a complex location.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Approve Afterschool/Summer program plans; supervise Afterschool/Summer Coordinator Create mid-week youth worship experiences, partnering with neighborhood churches, and make intergenerational as possible (eventually grow to all ages as capacity available); supervise Youth Ministry Coordinator. Develop neighborhood youth recruitment plan; direct and participate in implementation. Develop staff and volunteer HR map and recruitment plan; direct and engage in implementation (include recruitment of parents); work to retain staff and volunteers. Teach and model personal devotional times with young people outside of small groups. Drive neighborhood youth participants to App and help provide content. Organize and lead neighborhood participants in individual and group Christian service opportunities inside and outside local community. Provide opportunities for youth leadership within the ministry including in worship, facilitating small groups and other activities with younger children, etc. Host and attend events with neighborhood participants such as camps, city-wide worship, Christian concerts and movies, and other EY activities (include parents). Work to connect young people to church congregations in Area. Organize and participate in prayer walks for the ministry site, neighborhood, and neighborhood schools. Conduct Lunch Visits and Youth and Family Contacts with neighborhood participants. Help neighborhood participants connect with EY Sports programming; support campus FCA huddles and character coach program. Help high school participants connect with Calling and Career and transition into young adulthood maintaining contact as necessary. Provide transportation for program and other events as needed; acquire/maintain a CDL.
