Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience teaching band and strings at the middle school level (or demonstrated success with similar age groups)
  • Proficiency in multiple band and string instruments and experience directing ensembles
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Preferred experience as a music teacher
  • Preferred CT Teaching Certification (Music)
  • Experience supporting standards-based curriculum and instructional improvement.
  • Experience in a similar high-performing school district is preferred, but not required.

Salary & Benefits

$140/Day Uncertified and $280/ Day Certified - Not Eligible for Benefits
