Employment Opportunity: Major Howard W. Beal School POSITION: Long-Term Substitute Grade 2 Teacher 2026-2027 School Year

Shrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a Long-Term Substitute Grade 2 Teacher position at Major Howard W. Beal School (K-4 elementary). This position would begin with the start of the 2026-2027 school year and will last through a date to be determined. The rate of pay is $280 per diem for each day worked.

We are interested in candidates who are invested in the achievement, equity, and access of all learners in and beyond the classroom. Candidates with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, class, and/or gender background and experiences are strongly encouraged to apply.

Preferred:

• Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in Elementary, Grades 1-6
• Strong knowledge of elementary school student needs and programming

• Works flexibly in a changing environment
