Job Summary:
The Long Line Striping Foreman is responsible for overseeing all aspects of long line striping projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Stripe-A-Zone’s high standards. This role involves supervising crews, coordinating with clients, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with traffic and safety regulations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in pavement marking, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and organize long line striping crews to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Operate or oversee the operation of striping equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality of pavement markings.
- Inspect work sites and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Plan and coordinate daily work assignments, routes, and material requirements.
- Maintain equipment, including routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Monitor crew performance and provide guidance or corrective action as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure satisfaction.
- Ensure proper use of safety equipment, traffic control measures, and adherence to OSHA and local regulations.
- Prepare reports on project progress, crew performance, and materials used.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in long line striping or pavement marking operations.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a construction or striping environment.
- Strong knowledge of pavement marking techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications. - Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL B preferred.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift/move heavy materials as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with traffic control and safety regulations. - Familiarity with new striping technologies and paint systems.
- Ability to mentor and train crew members effectively.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Frequent exposure to traffic and heavy machinery.
- Requires physical activity, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
