Now hiring: Logistics Supervisor

Location: Hammond, LA

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday & Occasional Weekends | Flexibility to work the day, evening, and night shifts as needed

Skills That Set You Up for Success (Requirements)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of dock leadership or supervisory experience in transportation/logistics strongly preferred
  • Experience with routing, dispatching, or logistics coordination preferred
  • Familiarity with scanners and basic dispatch or warehouse management systems
  • Working knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging across all levels
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to identify problems quickly and develop effective operational solutions
  • Physical ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs (and occasionally more than 50 lbs)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching overhead
  • Ability to work in warehouse environments with exposure to noise, dust, moving machinery, and outdoor temperatures

What Success Looks Like (Job Duties)

  • Supervise, coordinate, and monitor a team of drivers, fleet, and equipment operating 7 days a week
  • Oversee daily logistics operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to budget
  • Analyze operational performance metrics and service data to improve results and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations and company safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, and on-site personnel across all levels of the organization
  • Oversee routing, dispatch coordination, and real-time problem-solving in logistics operations
  • Monitor performance indicators to ensure adherence to tight shipping schedules and service expectations
  • Lead training and development initiatives for team members to improve performance and compliance
  • Identify operational issues quickly and implement effective solutions in real time
