SAIC is seeking an Assistant Project Officer Team Lead to join our team at Fort Benning, Georgia.
This position provides oversight of the team responsible for coordination and logistical support for Maneuver Battle Lab live experimentation for emerging technologies and capabilities. This position ensures experimentation sites and equipment are fully operational. Work is in person daily at Fort Benning, Georgia with the Maneuver Battle Lab - Live Experimentation Branch.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Oversee the team responsible for logistical support and resource delivery for Live Branch experiments and projects.
- Works directly with Project Officers and other team leads; Provides recommendations for experimentation planning, resourcing, and logistics
- Plans and coordinates ammunition, supplies, temporary support personnel, and other resources as required by the Project Officers
- Responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of facilities sustainment.
- Manage the team's vehicle and equipment maintenance and accountability
- Serve as a Range Safety Officer for ranges and training areas
- Will obtain and must maintain on the job certifications required to support range operations, operate designated equipment, and facilitate equipment and ammunition draws and turn-in.
Qualifications
EQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree and 6 or more years of related experience are required. 6 or more years of related experience may qualify in lieu of degree.
- Experience in planning and coordinating ammunition, supplies, and personnel support
- U.S. Army experience in personnel management, training, and operations
- High degree of personal initiative
- Must be able to work day or night, in all types of terrain and conditions
- Must be willing to travel to offsite locations when necessary (limited travel)
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance
- Must be a current US Citizen
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Commercial Driver's License - Category C and Hazmat certification are preferred
- Experience as a Non-Commissioned Officer is preferred.
