Responsibilities:
  • Please describe the day-to-day responsibilities for this role.
  • The responsibilities associated with the role of a Logistics Structure and Material Flow Planning Specialist I are:
  • Performs lineside planning and material flow planning to integrate new product content in support of the company targets.
  • Plans and implements new supermarkets and commissioning processes.
  • Performs time analysis using BMW SD and LPP tool to determine headcount and equipment for new / changed processes.
  • Investigates, improves, and stabilizes overall material flow processes in support of company targets.
  • Performs quantitative and qualitative evaluations, considering impact to logistics costs and structure.
  • Leads cross-functional project teams and other special tasks associated with projects.
  • Coordinates all required activities regarding parts provision and supermarkets.
  • Develops regular status reports and indicators to measure assigned work activity.
  • Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
  • Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management..
Qualifications: 
  • The top 3 skills needed are:
  • • Logistics/ Material flow/ Line side Planning/ Supply Chain Planning experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • • Communication and interpersonal skills to work in a cross functional role.
  • 2) What is a “must have”?
  • • Material flow or Line side Planning experience, Analytical, Proficient in MS Excel tool, Cross functional work experience and is a quick learner.
  • 3) What would be a “nice to have”?
  • • Ability to understand and communicate in German. Not mandatory.
  • 4) Is there any work from home flexibility? If so what %?
  • • Yes, there is a work from home option available of 1 day per week; however subject to change based on manager decision.
