The Logistics Planning Leader – ONW North Americas will lead the cross-functional planning efforts of the North Americas portfolio to ensure that wind turbine delivery schedules and sourcing strategies result in an optimal fulfillment solution for GE and its customers. You will develop strategies, processes, and capabilities to optimize our project delivery portfolio, working in close cooperation with Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales / Commercial, Project Management and Finance to prepare for flawless execution, meeting customer deliverables and business demands.
Job Description
Main responsibilities of the Logistics Planning Leader role include:
- Own, lead & optimize Logistics preparation and planning processes for ONW North Americas by focusing on safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost
- Lead, coach, mentor and develop team of planning and logistics professionals
- Accountable to build processes & capabilities that enable Outbound Logistics portfolio optimization and achieve competitive lead-times with best-in-class logistics cost.
- Lead early-stage fulfillment planning process; Facilitate and enable decision making in fulfillment planning effort across multiple functions, including Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Project Management, and Product Line, to continually optimize the execution of the logistics portfolio.Manage site feasibility studies, ensure priority alignment and drive transparency and clarity of road/site expectations for field execution
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Commercial Operations to ensure that eligible customer projects meet their Domestic Content obligations in accordance with the Inflation Reduction Act
- Develop portfolio of transportation and service providers utilized in delivery execution
- Lead the sourcing of Logistic Service Providers (LSPs) to include trucks, rail and storage facilities
- Provide cost estimates during sales phase, negotiate rates with LSPs and ensure meeting of budgets during execution
- Apply LEAN & continuous improvement methodologies and concepts, Maintain Key Performance Indicators to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college with coursework in Engineering, Statistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain and Logistics, or Data Analytics.
- Demonstrated experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, Materials Planning, Project Management, Product Management, and/or Logistics Planning
- Experience leading teams
- Strong data analytics skills and proficiency with relevant digital logistics tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead successful cross-functional programs within a complex matrix organization
Desired characteristics
- High level of expertise manipulating large data sets using MS Excel, Tableau, or similar programs
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional work ethic

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $142,300.00 and $237,100.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
