One of our clients in Washington Navy Yard, DC, needs a Logistics Management Specialist for a contract position.

iQuasar is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Logistics Management Specialist providing logistics, acquisition, and program support to the In-Service Attack Submarines Program Office (PMS 392) under Program Executive Office Submarines (PEO SSN) at the Washington Navy Yard.

The Logistics Management Specialist will support the maintenance, sustainment, and modernization of U.S. Navy fast attack submarines (SSN 688I, SSN 21, and SSN 774 classes). This role focuses on logistics coordination, contract support, configuration management, and program execution tracking to ensure alignment with NAVSEA, Team Submarine, and lifecycle sustainment objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed analytical reviews of contractual and programming documentation to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and areas requiring corrective action.
  • Establish, maintain, and manage centralized data repositories to support version control, traceability, and accessibility of program documentation.
  • Track and manage contract files, including task orders, modifications, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), contractor deliverables, meeting minutes, and technical documentation.
  • Perform validation and reconciliation of CDRLs and associated deliverables to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Support contract oversight activities, including development of procurement requests, monitoring of deliverables, and coordination with Contracting Officers and Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs).
  • Process and manage COR change requests and support administrative and contractual updates.
  • Facilitate the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process in coordination with In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEA), configuration management teams, and technical authorities.
  • Aggregate, analyze, and disseminate logistics and program data to key stakeholders to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate and resolve material and logistics requests by interfacing with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, and program management organizations.
  • Support program reviews and meetings, including preparation of materials, documentation of meeting minutes, and tracking of action items.
  • Maintain and manage COR files, ensuring accurate documentation, traceability, and compliance with NAVSEA and acquisition requirements.
  • Track, manage, and close out action items generated from program meetings and leadership tasking.
  • Capture and formalize key program decisions and action items to ensure alignment across stakeholders.
  • Support logistics planning and sustainment efforts for submarine maintenance and modernization programs.
  • Perform additional logistics, acquisition, and program support duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience providing logistics, acquisition, or sustainment support to DoD or U.S. Navy programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Navy logistics procedures, sustainment processes, and acquisition support functions.
  • Experience supporting contract management activities, including CDRLs, contract deliverables, and documentation tracking.
  • Experience working with data management systems and centralized repositories.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience supporting NAVSEA, Team Submarine, or submarine sustainment programs.
  • Familiarity with government contracting processes, including CDRLs, ECPs, and COR responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting submarine maintenance, modernization, or lifecycle sustainment programs.
  • Experience working in fast-paced acquisition or program office environments.

Work Environment:
  • This position operates in a professional office environment, primarily located at or near the Washington Navy Yard, with routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Security / Access Requirements:
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
  • Familiarity with handling sensitive information (e.g., CUI, NOFORN) preferred.
