Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Location: Silsbee, TX 77656

Pay Rate: $24/hr on W2

Duration: 12 months (possible extension)

Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts
  • 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM / 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM
  • 36/48-hour weeklyrotation
  • Overtime as needed
Job Summary

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will support the Logistics Manager and team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing inventory activities, and ensuring smooth logistics operations across warehouses and transportation channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review system data to identify and resolve shortages
  • Assist with physical inventory processes
  • Communicate loading priorities (including urgent/hot loads)
  • Enter data for dropped trailers, containers, and shipments into the system
  • Coordinate shuttle movements between warehouses
  • Generate Canadian Customs invoices in SAP
  • Collaborate with carriers and load centers to resolve logistics issues
  • Perform daily yard checks and maintain accurate records
  • Track and report rejected trailers/containers with reasons
  • Maintain documentation (BOLs, inspection forms, shipment records)
  • Run and analyze Balance to Ship reports
  • Check in drivers and manage daily shipment logs
  • Prepare and submit morning logistics reports
  • Monitor rail operations (railcar logs, chemical cars, waybills, switch lists)
  • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) compliance
  • Manage demurrage and handle railroad-related disputes
  • Coordinate railcar orders and availability
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong computer proficiency (SAP experience preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or warehouse environment
  • Customer service experience within logistics operations
