Job Title: Logistics and Inventory Coordinator - Mountain View, CA - 28 hourly

Job Description

The Logistics and Inventory Coordinator manages a task queue in Jira and supports end-to-end material handling activities, including preparing, packaging, labeling, receiving, and local delivery of small package and freight materials. The role also supports ERP-based data entry, inventory cataloging, and picking activities that enable research and development, production, service, and contract manufacturing operations in an automotive and ADAS-focused environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a junior professional to gain hands-on logistics and inventory experience with advanced electronic assemblies such as PCBAs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize a task queue using Jira to coordinate daily logistics and inventory activities.
  • Prepare and package small pack and freight materials in accordance with internal standards and handling requirements.
  • Generate and apply accurate labels for all outgoing and incoming materials to ensure proper identification and tracking.
  • Receive incoming materials, verify documentation, and ensure items are correctly logged into the system.
  • Coordinate and perform local delivery of materials to internal teams and nearby locations as needed.
  • Support ERP-based data entry activities to maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and material movements.
  • Catalog inventory items, including electronic components and PCBA-related materials, to ensure proper organization and traceability.
  • Pick inventory for R&D, production, service, and contract manufacturing activities, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of requests.
  • Assist with shipping activities, including staging, loading, and preparing materials for transport.
  • Handle physical materials, including lifting up to 50 lbs when needed, with support from team members.
  • Operate or support the operation of fork trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, production, service, and contract manufacturing teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Follow established safety, handling, and quality procedures for packaging and shipping PCBA and related components.
  • Support continuous improvement of logistics and inventory processes by providing feedback and suggestions.

Essential Skills

  • Experience coordinating logistics or inventory activities in a warehouse, production, or similar environment.
  • Ability to manage and track work using Jira or similar task or ticket management tools.
  • Hands-on experience with packaging and handling materials, including small pack and freight shipments.
  • Familiarity with PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) packaging, handling, or shipping.
  • Ability to perform ERP-based data entry to maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
  • Capability to catalog and pick inventory accurately and efficiently.
  • Comfort with physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs with appropriate support.
  • Willingness to assist with operating fork trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and inventory records.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an environment that handles PCBA shipping and packaging, such as biomedical, automotive, or similar industries.
  • Prior exposure to logistics in an automotive or ADAS-related setting.
  • Any prior forklift or material-handling equipment certifications are a plus, though not required.
  • Willingness to obtain forklift or other material-handling certifications, which will be provided.
  • Interest in gaining experience in logistics, inventory management, and support of R&D and production operations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment and support colleagues with shared tasks.

Work Environment

The role follows a daytime schedule, typically between 8:00/9:00 AM and 4:00/5:00 PM, providing a stable and predictable workday. Work takes place in a logistics and production support environment that serves R&D, production, service, and contract manufacturing activities, with a focus on automotive and ADAS-related components, including PCBAs. The position involves regular interaction with inventory storage areas, shipping and receiving zones, and material staging areas. Material-handling equipment such as fork trucks and pallet jacks may be used, with appropriate training and certifications provided. The work involves a mix of computer-based tasks, including ERP and Jira usage, and physical tasks such as packaging, lifting, and moving materials, typically with team support for heavier items. Dress is generally practical and suitable for a warehouse and production-support setting, aligning with safety and operational requirements.

This is a Contract position based out of Mountain View, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
