Job Summary

The Logistics Clerk is responsible for coordinating and expediting the movement of materials, parts, and assemblies. This role involves establishing and communicating deadlines for deliverables, as well as verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments. The clerk maintains relevant records, stamps identification information and shipping instructions on containers, and arranges for the distribution of materials upon arrival. They inspect products for quality and quantity to ensure they meet specifications, working diligently to adhere to schedules and support customer satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Work with relevant departments to manage and organize inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and timely replenishment of supplies.
  • Maintain records related to receipts, movements, and kitting of materials for consumption.
  • Arrange for the distribution of materials upon arrival, including processing receipts, recording inductions into SAP, notifying material inspectors, managing put-aways, and updating inventory records.
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure material receipts meet approved physical standards and that accompanying paperwork is accurate and compliant with customer requirements and specifications.
  • Maintain records of equipment movements, ensuring accurate documentation for inventory control.
  • Safely operate forklifts (sit-down and reach) and other equipment to move materials and equipment within the premises.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth transfer of goods, delivering them timely and accurately to designated areas.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, both individually and as part of a team, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in shipping and receiving, safety protocols, organization, and equipment operation.
  • Experience with SAP.
