Freight Support and Administration
The Freight Support and Administration reports to the Parts Inventory Control Manager and is responsible for administrating many functions of the shipping department by proactively anticipating issues and promptly resolving the issues, communicating effectively and respectfully when questions arise, and have a strong desire to learn new concepts along with fresh ideas to improve the department.
.Key Roles:
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- The ability to work with other departments effectively.
- Prepares documents for shipping via various types of carriers.
- Creates reports daily of shipments.
- Load and unload trailers as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Choosing carriers and printing documents for Less than Truck Load carriers.
- Creating rate confirmation sheets and Bills of Lading for Full Truck Loads.
- Creating international shipping documents.
- Loading and unloading of outgoing freight.
- Ensuing all packages are properly packaged.
Qualifications:
- Data analysis experience/detail oriented.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to pick up concepts quickly and quickly learn the use of software systems.
- Experience operating forklifts and tractors preferred.
Location and Hours:
Location: 60 Street N, Sioux Falls SD 57104
Hours: 7:30-5:00
Days of Shift: Monday-Friday
