Job Title: Logistics Analyst I / Heavy Equipment Operator

Duration: 06 Months

Location: Nashville, TN, 37214

Pay Rate: $25.92/hr on W2

Working time: 8AM to 5PM CST - Monday to Friday, may require after hour or weekend support

Description:

Hours: 8AM to 5PM CST - Monday to Friday, may require after hour or weekend support

Must Haves:

Previous experience in logistics/transportation preferably in air and small parcel shipping
Proficient at basic MS suite such as Excel
Communication via Outlook
PowerPoint for recurring reviews with freight forwarders
Knowledge of frequently used excel formulas
Self-driven, problem-solver, good communication skills, and ability to work independently

Education:

While candidates with completed degrees are preferred, a degree is not required to be considered for this position

Experience:

Preferably at least 1 year of experience

Summary:

Operate industrial trucks or machinery in a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location.
Responsible for the operation of heavy machinery to safely move product load around the facility.
Typically has a high school diploma, a forklift operators license (for forklift operation) and experience in a production environment.
This may or may not be true with other heavy machinery operators.
The technical skills include the ability to transport production materials and goods.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED required
2-4 years manufacturing experience required Responsibility level
Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor

Skills:

Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, team player and problem-solving skills (Required)
Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods (Required)

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery
Move controls to drive vehicles and transport materials between loading, processing and storage areas
Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts and hoists, to load, unload, transport and stack material
Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids and boxes and secure materials or products for transport to designated areas
