The Exceptional Children Services Instructional Assistant supports special education teachers in highly structured classrooms and general education settings.
Assists with implementing individualized instructional programs and classroom activities.
Supports assessment, data collection, grading, and material creation.
Maintains classroom management and academic standards, especially in the teacher’s absence.
Provides technology assistance and performs medically related services such as feeding, hygiene, and medication administration for students receiving nursing support.
Collaborates with staff, attends professional development, and follows IDEA guidelines.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or 48 college credits, ability to work with children and collaboratively, and physical ability to lift and reach.
Compensation is based on 185 contract days with a 7-hour workday.
